I am Co-founder and President of the Ottocentro Cultural Association in Spain.<\/p><p data-start=\"592\" data-end=\"1229\">I have always been deeply interested in and fascinated by the most profound aspects of existence and the reality that surrounds us, particularly the understanding and exploration of how human beings function. Connecting with each person\u2019s subjectivity requires an openness to encountering the unknown\u2014an experience that is renewed with every new therapeutic encounter. I firmly believe that, beyond solid professional training, only a genuine and authentic interaction with the therapist can transform suffering into a qualitatively new experience, restoring a sense of vitality to existence, marked by hope, fulfilment and satisfaction.<\/p><p data-start=\"1231\" data-end=\"1503\">I am passionately dedicated to working with the most complex forms of human distress: from generalized anxiety, panic attacks, intense stress crises and depression, to eating disorders (EDs)\u2014such as anorexia, bulimia or binge eating disorder\u2014and personality disorders.<\/p><p data-start=\"1505\" data-end=\"2235\">In hypermodern society, there is a clear proliferation of diagnoses and psychopathological categories, along with a view of the human being increasingly oriented towards the dichotomy between what is considered \u201c<em>normal<\/em>\u201d and, at the opposite extreme, \u201c<em>pathological<\/em>\u201d or \u201c<em>deficient<\/em>.\u201d There has been a noticeable rise in ADHD diagnoses among children, adolescents and young people, and among adults, an increase in diagnoses related to mood and anxiety disorders. My clinical experience has shown me that solid psychological training does not consist of identifying a supposed deficit in an individual, issuing a diagnosis and then \u201c<em>adjusting<\/em>\u201d or \u201c<em>curing<\/em>\u201d them according to subjective criteria of the therapist or the cultural moment.<\/p><p data-start=\"2237\" data-end=\"2919\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">It is far easier to classify and generalise than to delve into the particularities of a singular individual.<\/span> I consider it essential to adopt a respectful perspective towards the human being\u2014one that is capable of welcoming and accepting each person\u2019s uniqueness as they are and as their personal history has shaped them, including human limitations, often conceptualised as \u201cdefences\u201d or \u201cdisorders.\u201d Only in this way can therapist and patient engage in a shared process, in which the patient, on the one hand, recognises and accepts their own essence, and on the other, dares to actively intervene in their life in order to build it in accordance with their needs and aspirations.<\/p><p data-start=\"2926\"
